The choice of these two publications was founded on their acknowledged scientific worth and by their uniform approach in their reading of the entire national territory. The recording of the heritage has resulted in a map of the consistency and distribution of items at a national level by municipal area. This has become an important base from which to work on the calculation of the “territorial risk”, i.e. the levels of risk that appear in the various municipal territorial areas on the basis of the phenomena of degradation revealed, and the consistency of the heritage recorded.
